Panhel Group Provides Recruitment
Support at Butler The Indianapolis Alumnae Panhellenic (IAP) provided 35 Recruitment Counselors and Panhel Executive Officers with “Survival” Bags, as the upper class sorority women returned early to campus from Butler’s winter break to prepare for formal recruitment last week. In return, the Counselors treated the IAP representatives to an impromptu dress rehearsal of their skit created to welcome and introduce the college coeds to Butler recruitment activities. This initiative was organized by IAP Collegiate Advisory Chair Shari Vickery. She joined IAP President Margy Moorhead, three other IAP representatives, and Becky Dreutzler, Butler’s Director of Greek Life and Orientation Programs, in surprising the recruitment team last Tuesday evening. Each counselor and officer received a personalized gift bag filled with treats and a variety of useful and fun items. Formal recruitment concluded Sunday, January 11. According to Dreutzler, 270 coeds accepted bids, a number that has been increasing for the past three years. Supporting recruitment at the collegiate level is a primary objective of alumnae panhellenics nationwide.
